Aloha from Hawaii. We recently purchased a condo in Waikiki, Hawaii’s most famous beach district in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. We have named our flat, Honu Hale (sounds like Ho New Hall Lay), which in Hawaiian means the Home of the Turtle. The Hawaiian green sea turtle is an endangered species whose meaning to the Hawaiian’s is Earth.
So it is a good symbol for all those wanted to live sustainably on this earth.
We are remodeling the place and equipping it with green furnishings, cleaning materials, beach wear, as well as providing local Hawaiian green resources such as fresh, organic, local produce, holistic practitioners, eco tourism tours and experiences, local green events and meet ups etc. Every visitor will receive a free book by my long time friend Mindy Pennybacker of Greenerpenny.com called One Green Thing. It is a great resource for taking simple, informed steps about changing your lifestyle (more later).
Thanks for dropping by …mahalo….come again…aloha,
Bruce
